Kent County Council – Temporary Road Closure – A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, Eastry – 5th August 2024 (Dover District)
Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, Eastry, from 5th August 2024 with estimated completion by 10th August 2024.
A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, Eastry, will be closed Northbound only. The road will be closed between the junctions of Venson Road and Dover Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Dover Road, A258 Deal Road, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Bypass and A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing roadworks to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
