Lindsay Ann Taylor

Councillor

Lindsay Taylor has been an EPC Councillor for the past three years. As a working mother of 4
primary and secondary school-aged children, she is a busy person but still finds the time to
devote to Eastry Parish Council.
Lindsay’s priority is to make sure that young people's voices are heard and represented
locally. Through her EPC role Lindsay was actively involved in the Gun Park improvements
but still thinks there's plenty more to do, especially upgrading the skate-scooter park.
As Chair of EPC's Planning Committee, Lindsay is resolute that all new housing
developments in Eastry bring benefits to the local community through developer
contributions and a quota for affordable housing for local people trying to get onto the
property ladder.
Lindsay is also Chair of the Eastry Allotments Group and can often be found helping her
husband cultivating their plot at the far end of Gun Park. She was particularly proud of a
bountiful crop of tasty grapes this year if quick to encourage anyone thinking about taking
on an allotment to just to it. Grow your own is well worth it.
If you didn’t get the impression already, being organised is Lindsay day job. For almost one
year she has been Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of Eythorne Building
Contractors. Her job means that she has got to know the local area really well which
Lindsay loves.
As Eastry residents since 2017, Lindsay and her family are relative newcomers, they all love
the peace and quiet of village life, and also share a family love affair with motorbikes.
Lindsay points out that she rides her Kawasaki 650 slowly around the village!
