Thursday 15th October saw the long awaited return of the Eastry Coffee Morning at the Village Hall, funded by Eastry Parish Council. Shout out to Tamara Barwick, who volunteered to lead the coffee mornings, despite studying at university, working part time and also volunteering to lead Rainbows and help at Brownies! What a fantastic example of a caring, community minded young person, giving up her time to help others. Once Tamara got the ball rolling she was joined by other volunteers Joe and Ann McDermott, Lynn Wilkinson and Jo Jones, who set and cleared up, kept us covid-compliant, made tea and coffee and gave out biscuits. Great team work.
Lots of catch ups, chat and laughs. Next coffee mornings are on 4 November and 16 December at 9-12 am. All are welcome, free tea, coffee and biscuits, why not come and meet your neighbours, make new friends.
