Hospices of Hope community fundraising event

You may be aware from press and tv coverage that our charity’s beloved mascot Bagpuss celebrates his 50th birthday this year!

To mark this momentous occasion Hospices of Hope are arranging a community, fundraising event in East Kent close to where Bagpuss was produced by Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate at their Small Films studio all those years ago.

The Bagpuss Birthday Bikeathon takes place on Sunday 19th May at Kent’s iconic race circuit at Lydden Hill and represents a fantastic opportunity for the community to join together to raise much-needed funds for children and adults with life-limiting illnesses, for families to cycle in a traffic-free environment and for local authorities to promote the benefits of cycling for physical and mental health. Hospices of Hope are a registered charity (number 1088475) who have a large local presence across Kent, Surrey and London and have a wide supporter base in the region that has been growing since 1991.

We would be most grateful for any support you can give in helping us to promote the event within your parish. Full details and information regarding registration are available at https://hospicesofhope.co.uk/events/the-bagpuss-birthday-bikeathon

Many thanks for taking time to read this message and for your support.
