An Eastry NHW member told me about this telephone message she received this week:
“The telephone number I had for Imperial Telecom was 02871876479. They were asking about cheaper phone bills from next month. I soon put the phone down because I had never heard of them before. “
Peter Gill, our Community Warden, has confirmed that Imperial Telecom is a very suspicious organization:
“Open-Source checks including Google Earth and Zoopla identifies this address as a flat above a row of shops. The telephone number relates to a company called Magrathea Telecoms Ltd at Londonderry which has negative reportsImperial Telecom appears to be a one-man band operating from the flat. Their website looks professional however their contact number is 02081441786 which has also received negative reports. There is likely to be a connection between these two Telecom companies.
The Eastry resident is correct…don’t engage with them!”
